I am in need of a ride badly. I just can't roll in 26 degree weather. They are calling for a high of 44 on Sunday. Once it gets past 35 I can deal with it as long as I stay off the highways. Every morning I get up and my helmet says "come on man it ain't that cold" then the bike says "you should really be riding me instead of that couch". I said I would never leave Maryland but I think in my later years I'm going to NEED to ride all year.

I'll have a ride for you tomorrow morning. Too warm now - about 86 on your scale. Should be a nice 72 deg in the morning

Got the buzz too? I would ride to work everyday if my work hours permitted it. It's just too cold when I get off at midnight. Supposed to get up to 48 on Saturday, so I'll take it out then. The windshield I put on recently makes a world of difference though.

Use to ride all year or at least down to 19F in N. Va when younger, wore a snowmobile type outfit since back then they didn't have the snazzy MC gear sold today.
Got wise, moved to Florida and ride almost daily. However, no really good natural curves and the only hills are bridges. Can't have it all unless your lucky and stay in OZ during the US winter and come back for summer....

You people in the Southern Hemisphere are cruel.
We usually have year round riding here in north central Texas, but the past few days have been a bit chilly for us, temps topping out around 40-45f. Took a short ride yesterday but it was really too cold for us to go far. Bit of a fair weather rider are we. Warmer weather is usually not far off here. ![]() We trudge on. |
