During riding season (when not riding) I usually just hang it from the handlebar with the bike parked in the garage.

To be honest though, since Michigan repealed its mandatory helmet requirement, I've been riding without it; so most of the time it sits in it's storage bag (that came with the helmet) on a shelf in my office. That's where it gets stored during winter storage too.

I like to put a coat of "LiquidGlass" auto polish on the helmet finish once a month or so. The polish keeps the helmet looking shiny and new, plus it makes it easier to clean off bug guts and road grime when the helmet gets dirty.

During riding season they are in the garage with the bike. Winter they come in the house. This fall I sent an email to Shoei asking about storing in the garage during the winter and their response was not to store any helmets where they would be subject to extreme cold or heat.

In the garage, on the kitchen table, on a chair, on the sissy bar ... wherever i end up taking it off it stays until the next use.

The one I wore last is on the handlebars. The others are on a shelf in the garage. Always blow them out before I ride. Nothing creepier than a spider walking down your inside shield, or feeling something crawling in your hair!

Well whatever you do don’t hang them on pegs in the garage because your wife will just think it’s a good place to lean the ladder.

I wear mine to bed when the wife and I play Wild Biker and Town Librarian.
Most other times it hangs from the bar end.

But I'm liking the pegboard idea by wallasan. Might give that a go this summer.
