I am sure to some, stopping and smelling the roses is meaningless.. works for me, makes the turn offs less crowded.
A recap of the past year if I may.. I started off the year visiting trojan horses ![]() Having Que with Daunte and his significant other. ![]() Then in no particular order.. Enjoying a waterfall, a yearly pleasure and still some new ones to come.. ![]() Hiding skulls for Canyon ![]() eating more Que ![]() Relaxing ![]() ![]() Meeting interesting characters like this colorful old vet ![]() finding funky country stores ![]() and abandoned quasi castles ![]() Meeting the pot guy up close ![]() hanging with a few thousand biker friends once a year ![]() Jamming down the road.. Sabres do move, even two up, I never had a problem keeping up next to any other cruiser ![]() or just grooving on rural NH ![]() Well lookee.. more Que ![]() kicking back at the Biker tent on route 9 ![]() Being the ham that I am ![]() Love them grave yards ![]() It's everywhere all you have to do is look ![]() It's not that I am a particularly great photographer folks, its that God has blessed me with a richly photogenic region of the country ![]() And with friends, old and new.. ![]() Here's to the new year and the new adventures ahead, may your meaningless miles have great meaning for you. |

Is this another miles thread? Hold up let me grab something....
![]() Ok! With that out of the way I hope we can be free of discussions on if we measure with centimeters or inches, chrome or leather, miles or experiences... or debates on if we're measuring at all or if that's just... like... your opinion man. Let's stick to a bit of a back and forth on the cooler places we've been and experiences we've had. Thanks in advance. Where are these fantastically huge chairs??? As for me this year was unfortunately short. Starting in August when I finally had time to fix the forks on the ol' 83 and not be buried by long work weeks and deadlines. I made the most of it, doing something or other most days and weekends. The bit of cash from all the hours made this my first year as a V-Max owner, which is a bike I've been eyeballing since before I even knew how to ride. I don't photograph much so many of the moments I had this year don't have a fun photo to match. Here's what I've got from various group occasions where we actually took a camera along. Taking a Sunday and riding around just for the hell of it we found a cool forest preserve loaded with fun scenery that goes in a 1-way loop. Loads of time just making laps and taking the tiny turns, bumps, and hills with joy surrounded by lush forest. It's hard to find places this neat in flat and boring Illinois. ![]() A journey made complete by 50mph roads controlled only by stop signs. ![]() Traveled down to Oregon, IL where they have this lovely view of a river. ![]() With this Black Hawk tribute across the way. ![]() Met with a few friends (75,000 of them!) to donate some toys to needy children by riding non-stop for 10 miles through downtown Chicago.
