Are the side covers on a 2003 ACE 750 bike color are chrome ,the covers where the battery is. I asking cause mine are chrome and my buddies VLX 600 are body chrome it seems I finding things every day on my bike as I bought it used in dec. thanks

They come painted from factory. Chrome is after market.

Those chrome covers are most likely from show chrome and run about $170.00US.
I'm getting a set this spring. I always liked the look of them on the Harley softail.
