Red face New Low - 22ºF

Hit my all time low temp on the bike yesterday. 22ºF yesterday morning on the way to work. It actually felt colder when I came home and the temperature was 30ºF.

Mine is 18f a week or so ago. Had to make a quick trip to store for milk one evening. My wife called me a retard.

I was out on the freeway last week at night when it was 30 - Most of my gear did great. The gloves were a bit chilly, so I will need to investigate some better ones or mebbe glove liners

That's my problem also. Can't find gloves that are warm enough. Don't really want to install heated ones. Don't want the extra load on my electrical system.

Unless you already have your electrical system loaded I wouldn't worry too much. Gerbing gloves as an example max at 2.2A. Or get the portable battery ones.

For a minute there, after reading the title, I thought you were going to say -22. NO WAY MAN!

We have been in a deep freeze for the last 4 days. Our main water line broke Monday morning on the other side of the meter out by the street. The city is supposed to fix it today. We have water, but it's 1/4 the pressure. Barely runs.

Won't be riding any time soon.

For those who are riding now, blessings man, blessings.

I went out for a ride in November on the highway here in Illinois. Although we've had a warm winter that was not one of the warmer days. I think I recall the temps being in the mid to upper 40's. My rule is if it's above freezing there's no excuses.

I sweat profusely at 22F in my riding gear........hands are the worst - i have Himylayan (sp?) brand thick winter gloves......heated gloves would be nice though.
