Grab the same marker and fill in everything he didn't colour.
To be honest, haven't a clue. Solvents would damage the helmet... someone will pipe in. (can't ever resist the opportunity to be a smartass)

Might try some lacquer thinner (alcohol) or acetone (nail polish remover) on a small spot. Only thing I can think of that wouldn't hurt the helmet would be Clorox bleach......but it probably won't touch the marker either. I think you're screwed. Maybe you could get someone artistic to "continue" the picture and make it look better !!! |

That dry erase marker method seems interesting, but i've never tried it personally.

If it's not a matte finish you can use Meguiar's clear plastic polish. It will take the marker right off and leave the helmet shiny.

Try some Goo-Gone. It might work. The automotive (i.e. stronger stuff) version really does a nice job and leaves the paint and shiny finish intact. I used it to clean road tar off my wife's car and it really worked nice.

The plastic polish certainly wouldn't hurt anything; I'd be really interested to hear the results. GooGone probably won't hurt either; I've used it on plastic bumpers with good results. |

As a teacher this happens all the time on the white boards in the classroom. We just go over it with a dry erase marker and wipe it off I have had to do it on the counters at home too. Some times you have to go over it a few times like you are coloring. Should work. Good luck!!!
