Hey all, name here is Ben, I am from Ohio, I have just recently purchased my first Honda Shadow.
It is a 1984, 500 cc, has 18k miles on the ticker. This is my first road bike, and I am excited to start riding it. Future plans, besides riding and enjoying it, I plan on repainting it down the road, either to original colors or to a newer factory Honda color. anyone know if it would be possible to remove a dent in the tank? Guess your question has been overlooked by the excitement of having a new member, LOL.
I'm sure a good body man can repair any problems when you repaint. When you do why not make it your own and do something different? You have time to think of what you want. How do you picture the perfect bike when closing your eyes and just day dreaming? We all like pics here so post some of your ride even if it's not perfect, we'll still love it. Enjoy your new ride and keep it on the low side. Martin |

Welcome Ben, yes dents can be taken out. The methods used depends on it's size. Type in "tank dent" in the search box, several discussions on removing dents can be found. These may prove helpful. Post some pictures of your ride, kind of a unwritten rule here, plus we like looking at bike pictures.

Welcome to the forum Ben! I recall there being some conversation in the past here about removing dents from tanks. Hopefully you can use the search function and fine a few ideas. I recall some guys trying to get a hold of a dent wizard service.....I also recall reading about a way to do it with dry ice.....and I guess it depends on how big the dent is.
