Hi all, just figured I'd stop in and say hey. The last 5 months have been hectic to say the least. My parents and I just moved cross country to Las Vegas and I think I can now finally breathe a little bit. I made the tragic mistake of selling my bike a few weeks before I moved and missed riding tremendously. Since this is all desert, the riding season is pretty much year round. Even though it gets a bit nippy in the winter months (it's about 25-35 degrees right now) it's still dry enough to ride safely as long as you dress warm. As a matter of fact, I just made a 1800mile round trip this weekend to Denver to pick up a brand new VTX 1800F that I got a hell of a deal on, so I guess I'm back in the saddle again! Anyway, I miss everyone, billp hope you heal up well and I'll make sure to try to catch up with you guys when I stop back into town to visit!
Cya later! -John |

Heya,
I miss the rides with you guys, it was always a good time when we went on our rides. The riding is pretty good, still a little chilly out there but it's bearable during the day. It's supposed to get up into the 60's next week and it's always dry out here in the desert even though it gets windy as hell and downright cold at night. It's true in the summer that there's no humidity, but 117 degrees is 117 degrees, humidity or not. I love the VTX so far, I put around 100 miles on it Sunday after the bears spanked the saints and this bike pulls twice as hard as my old shadow ever did. I got a leftover 06 for a song from a dealer in Denver, picked it up Saturday and trailered it back. In between rides I work at UPS doing tech support. It pays the bike payment and gives me some spending cash, so I'm all good for now. Maybe one day I'll go be a dealer or something, make some big bux at a casino. -John |
