Well we never made it to Gaspee. My sweet hearts ride broke down in Donnacona about a half hour to Quebec City. We did manage to see the City we stayed there for three nights then Teresa and our boy took the train home and I rode back solo.

As for the bike a Honda CBF1000 a rare occurrence happened so they say, the fuel injection pump went on it and it could take two to 6 weeks before they have the part in.

so that explains why I never saw you on the peninsula....Sorry to hear about the mishap, hope all turns out well.

You probably don't want to hear this, but we were able to tour Gaspe. One word that keeps coming to mind is 'breathtaking', yeah, it's that nice.

You'll have to make plans for a future trip there and I can recommend some Gites, (B & B's) if you like.

I'll try to post up some photos later on, but in the meantime, just imagine the pamphlet photos in 3D, with fresh air all around you. Some of the roads were soooo twisty, up & down, etc, but gorgeous.

Plenty of riding weather ahead of us, hopefully you'll have that bike up & running soon. Maybe ride two-up for awhile?

Can't wait to hear more about your trip and see the pic's.
Did the weather cooperated with you?

We spent tree days in the old Quebec city and ate well at the restaurants we made the best of it

Tease's bike may not be fixed for another 4 weeks, she is riding her backup bike an '03 BMW f650cs. We have been working around the house and riding closer to home on our last week of vacation. Back to work Monday.

The good news is we have to go back to Quebec City to get her bike

Well, I finally got to post some of the gazillion photos that we took on our Gaspe tour. (The great thing about digital cameras is that they can hold over 1,000 photos. The down-side is that they hold over 1,000 photos).

Nothing can compare to actually being there in person, smelling the air, feeling the breeze, meeting the people, eating the food and all that. These photos only represent a minute portion of the Gaspe experience. We were blessed with great weather, despite the predicted forecasts.

After leaving the peninsula, we returned home to Massachusetts via New Brunswick, Maine and New Hampshire.

If you enjoy long, scenic, private, and literally 'breathtaking' views, I would highly recommend the Gaspe peninsula. Knowing the French language would be helpful, but not required.

Depending on how much fuel your bike can hold, (mine is 4.5 gallons), you may not want to pass a gas station without topping off. There are a few long stretches of road, but as long as you fill up often, you should be okay.

We were in Gaspe for 6 days, but could have easily spent a month there. We really enjoyed it. I hope the photos give some idea of the area, but if you get the chance to visit....GO!

Wow!! so nice I am so JEALOUS. Tease was looking over my shoulders and was just in awe of what we have mist but will see in the future.
She got the call today saying her bike is ready (Quebec city) and we are in the works trying to figure out if we can maybe do the north side of the river in two maybe three days

You may like to post your awesome trip in the general section seems pretty darn dead here in the Canadian section.
Thank you again for sharing.

I'd love to be cruising in Quebec City, now you're making me jealous. (We did it last year for the festival of New France, it was great!).

I was told in Gaspe that the north side of the river is really beautiful. If you visit, I am sure you'll like it a lot. Plus there are three ferries to choose from to cross the river, if you decide to.

Have a safe and fun trip, je me souviens!

Would you happen to remember where these pic's were taken! Was there miles of this road??
would like to add to my trip planning, I enjoy little back roads like this one.

The photos that you selected were taken in Florillon National Parc, south end.

There is also a north end, and with your admission price you can leave & re-enter the parc all day, until midnight.

If you do go to Florillon, I can highly recommend a Gite, (B & B), only five minutes from the parc entrance. Great people, great view, and motorcyclists are welcome.

Of course, if you do go to Florillon, you'd only be 1 1/2 hours from Perce Rock, another 'must see' item. Then after that, there's.......

Have fun planning!
