I'm starting to see the bad in having this in October. It's soooooo far away.

Me thinks some of use need to do a weekend scouting trip, (or two), find the ride routes, places to stop, etc.

Or just goof off and ride.

Heck before I know it, I might just be living in the South. Then I'll just have to go check out the ride area before the ride!

I just got back from a short trip up around H'ville (in the truck for reasons beyond my control) and while I was there I checked out a new-to-me back road loop. Runs up past a country club southwest of the town, over the hill and comes out on Crab Creek Road. Not bad, could work as part of a short loop for Friday.
