Default Need name of Hotel on Blue Ridge Parkway

Does anybody know the name that hotel on the Parkway? I was riding with the 2nd group on Saturday and we stopped to use the restrooms about 20 miles before we met Joe. There was a hotel looking over the side of the mountain there. Does anybody know the name of it?

That would be it, nice campground there too.

Place is usually booked solid during this time of year, (leaf peepers).

Great resturant, but pricey.

I just visited the site they sure dont make it easy to find rates for the rooms.....I had to actually go to the booking page to get the rate.....not bad they really ought to make it easier to see them.....anyway its a wonderful view

Yeah, I was not real impressed with their website. Looks like you might have to book a room several months out.

We stayed there a few years back - the rooms all look over the edge of the mountain, go out on the balcony and it feels like your are going to fall off the side of the mountain it is so steep below you, spectacular views if the weather is clear.

Peaks of Otter Lodge near Bedford is the same property concept but over looks a lake - both are good places to stop - with all the amenities on property - food/spirits/views.

They have another at Doughton Park, 30 to 40 miles south of the NC/VA line, same type of deal.
