Default Signal Relocation, PIC's/IDEA'S/Opinions

I searched "Signal relocation"..found lot's of threads....nothing exactly I was looking for.

I have decided to move the rear signals WAY back.

I want VERY LARGE saddlebags..and eliminate my sissy bar bag.

Looking for pic's of where you guys put yours..... I'm kinda figuring the license plate is going to get a aluminum bracket.

Please remember..my bike is "standard" 1100 C....meaning rear fender is straight out....not "wrapped" around tire like C2. SABRE, ACE, AERO, ETC.
Pic's from these (if mounted on fender, or license plate "frame") may not help me.

All advice/opinions/pic's appreciated.

Rear fender is freshly painted....should have thought about this earlier..maybe best bet was hole in side of fender???

Default Rear turnsignal relocation

I put the jumbo bags on my spirit 1100 and decided to mount my turnsignals down to a bracket I made around the license plate. I mounted them vertically instead of horizontally and it worked great. I am taking some pictures and should be able to post them tomorrow.

Fella I ride with has his signals mounted to the tail light/license plate bracket under the fender...his looks similar to your set up...
1/8 or 3/16" x 2-3" - "L" brackets were used...
It is a clean looking set up, I`ll TRY to remember to get pics fer ya...no telling when we`ll get together though...
The first time I`ve ridden behind him, was saturday ~ they always put me out front ~ but it was just the two of us riding last saturday (Jan 2) and I put him out front fer a change...

Working on relocating mine soon as well. I have the 96 VT1100C2. The fender wraps all the way down. I am going to manufacture a bracket to mount on the lisence plate mounts. I also might make them run/turn/brake lights. I read about using a trailer kit (like the Hopkins universal tailight converter - #46155). I need to choose some dual filament lights with red lenses first.

Go here: LeatherLyke: Browsing Cruiser Saddlebags For Honda ACE, VT1100C ('87- ) and click on the "download instructions" link. The last page will show you a line drawing of the bracket that comes with the LeatherLyke bags. It looks like it would be easy to duplicate if you're handy like that.

Also, you can go here:Honda Spirit turn signal relocation for a "how to".

I relocated the signals and put bags on mine a few weeks ago.
