I'm attempting to replace my left crankcase cover. Problem is, I can't seem to get the old one off. All the bolts are removed, and the cover is loose, it just won't slide completely off. The knob that the gear shift connects to keeps hanging up. Is there an easy way to overcome this?
Thanks. I finally got it.

Tried that. Maybe I'm not using enough force. It looks like it should slide right through.

Took a break, ate a nice juicy steak, went back out to try again and it slid right off. Life is good!
