Both bike have the same Frame Part number... So, my guess is that it will work. Not that it will be any easier to get 84 parts.

thank you.
That is what I needed. The mechanic has a complete running 84 700... with bad carbs. But mine were rebuilt 2 months ago when this fiasco started. We just got a set of 6 assist shafts from ebay. The swap is a worst case scenario in case there is a problem with the shafts. Last edited by backroom; 06-27-2011 at 12:19 PM. |

Why not just buy the 84 and swap your carbs onto it???
