Single fire.
Stolen from another forum whose name I will not mention here: People get this mixed up all the time. The number of spark plugs or ignition coils used has nothing to do with single fire or dual fire. Our bikes use two spark plugs powered by a single ignition coil, per cylinder. But this does not indicate if it's single or dual fire.
I know for a fact that all Shadow Spirit/ACE 750 models from 2001 to 2007 (non-shaft) are dual spark plug, single fire systems. You can download the Honda service manual here, and recommend that you do so: http://www.hondashadow.net/forum/53-...ace-750-a.html BTW: Beautiful bike - used to have one just like it - my Brother owns and rides it now! ![]() ![]()

Thanks for the info. I'll be working on that this week now.
And, thanks for the compliment on my bike - It's my first, sort of. About a year and 1/2 ago, I'd not even thought I'd own a bike. Then a buddy mentioned he had a 1975 200cc he was getting rid of for $150. I bought it thinking I'd tinker with it (I'm a computer guy, not a tinker, but wanted to try.) I redid the gas tank, unclogged some lines, cleaned the carbs, and in a weekend had it running (very proud of myself!). It ran rough though, so I messed with it spring/summer and determined it needed new rings. By then, I really wanted to ride, so I bought this off Craig's List. At 10 years old, only had 3500 miles on it, and I gave $3500 for it. First owner was a lady, 2nd a guy who only put 800 miles on it, then I bought it last summer and have put on about 3000 myself. I love it, it suits me very well. Don't know why I waited so long to buy one! I added the shield and Lindby bar you can see in the pic. Couple weekends ago I added a Sebel nautalis horn and break light modulator. Working on the tach now. Only other thing I can think that would be nice would be more lights, as in a light bar. I probably won't be adding that though. Some buddies want to take a trip to Alaska and/or coast to coast. So someday I'm going to have to go bigger. They all ride Ultra's, and I'd need a 6th gear to keep up with them.

Studying your pics... You have some extra chrome around the fenders I see, and looks like the radiator and side covers too. Very nice. I like the light bar in front. Those engine guards are very nice. What are they? If I had seen those when looking for bars for my bike, I probably would have gone for those over the Lindby bars. Those are sweet. Whats the two gauges and box on the handle bars? Just curious.

(1) - National Cycle Paladin Bars. I bought them from another forum member here when he bought a larger bike and they were a few years old but looked seriously brand new. Quite beefy. Nice style, too, but I prefer Cobra bars myself. (2) - Those aren't gauges, they are speakers, and the box is the amp/tuner. Shark 100W system. Does the job quite well! Also has a input for your MP3 player. Here's a pic from the rider's perspective:
