My bike came with a SS-24V Slipstreamer Windshield installed. One of the arms was bent and I could never get the windshield where I wanted it, so I ordered new mounting equipment from Slipstreamer, per their website. However, the old arms were gold, these are black. And the handlebar mount is too small. I tried. The existing one, but it seems like the black arms are about 1/16 or an 1/8 bigger in diameter. I've included a photo, so I'm hoping someone can give me a suggestion how to rectify this issue. It is going on a 95 VLX 600CD. The new mount is the black one.
Thanks

CALL the place you bought the stuff from and have them send you the right parts.... If you bay something that isn't right the first step is NEVER modification. the first step is to get the screwed up item replaced, under warranty. If that doesn't work then get creative.

If you strike out, raid the rod receivers and screw, then get a pair of 3-piece clamps from JP cycle. They are chrome, come in sizes from 1 to 1.5 inch, are strong and not expensive. Looks like the darker rod holder would be a fit, donno about the other one, can't see the details.
