Ok thanks for the heads up! Now back to the original thread. BTW I don't use a 2x4 it was a pic from the PO. Once I ordered a new rubber foot I felt like it was at a normal angle. I'll keep an eye on the frame though.

I used the sissy bar as a frame for the modified seat, and used the sissy bar pad, played with some cutting and shaping on the frame so it'd fit down around the rider's seat, put two bolts in the back and attached it to the fender.

wow - using the stupid sissy bar as a frame - thats genius!

I love the way that turned out - I am going to start this mod this week!

Kathy thanks for the post! I really like how that looks and it really covers the edges nicely. If and when anyone else tries this please post pictures or comments on your progress. I'm not super practiced in fabrication so I'll take as much help as I can get!

Also Kathy what kind of saddle bags are those on your bike? Thanks again
