Does anyone know exact diameter of swingarm tubes?

Both the upper and lower swingarm tubes on a 97 vlx? The top one seems close to 1 1/2 but since this is a metric bike i'm assuming the tubes are actually in mm's. I'm trying to find a clamp that will fit either the top or the bottom tube and 1 1/4 seems the most common size. I've been looking everywhere for the exact size of these tubes and i'm not finding anything.


Trying to come up with a way to mount a side mount license bracket that was intended to go on a harley and replace that 1" bushing. Was thinking if i could bolt one of these to the swingarm Kuryakyn Gloss Black Side Mount License Plate Clamp | 446-574 | J&P Cycles
I could bolt the bracket onto that as i don't think putting it on the axle is gonna work.
