Default Handlebar Replacement

I have a 09 Shadow Spirit with stock handlebars. I also have a mustang seat with backrest which forces me to sit way back in my seat. My problem is I'm reaching too far for the handlebars. Stock risers w/kickbacks are at the max. Any handlebar suggestions?

I found that the 6 inch risers worked for me with stock handle bars.

Thanks for the info. My stock risers are 5.5 inches with 3 inch pullback. I have short arms. Well maybe because I'm a girl.

He He .You cant use "Because I am a Girl" as a defense for short arms.

J J lets see some pics of that Spirit!!

Did you put the Mustang seat on? Reason I ask is I have been weighing several seat solutions and have heard that the Mustang seat tends to move you forward on the bike vs. the stock seat. I like the riding position of the stock seat so wasn't considering the Mustang seat.

It definately Moves you back on a Spirit compared to stock.I put 6 in forward Extensions on my Bike First first with the stock seat and it was Perfect other than the seat. Now with the Mustang seat I feel Like I am Reaching a Bit and 4 in extensions would have worked.

Motorcycle Stock Handlebars Measurements - Stock Bars This might help in choosing. www.jpcycles.com is a good source for bars.

h13man,
I've used that site to determine my stock bars. I did find the bars I thought would work but the guy at the shop doesn't agree with me. We'll see who wins (stay tuned).

I'm in love with my mustang seat! Wouldn't go back to stock for any amount of money. Once I get the bars to my liking I'll be good to go.
