Default Just installed sportster rear signals

I never did like the OEM Honda rear turn signals. They're plastic and hang below the rear fender. I thought if I painted them black that I'd like them more, but they still looked cheap to me. I decided on Harley Sportster rear turn signals after seeing a new Forty-Eight on the showroom floor. I also wanted to add brake lights to the rear and thought I would keep it simple with the stock 1156 bulbs and a trailer converter (no running lights). so far I have only installed the OEM Harley rear signals with the amber lenses. I'll order some red lenses and get a trailer converter soon, but I think this change really cleaned up the rear of the bike. Here are a few pics.

I just cut he original harness off the stock lights and soldered them on to the new ones. Now I don't have any wires going through the rear fender bracket. I think that shorter signal stand-off's would look better, but I made my rear fender bolts into long studs to tie stuff down to the rear part of my seat and I use them everyday. Either way, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Diggin' it. I don't mind the Shadow Spirit 750's front turn signals, but the rear ones are beyond stupid.

The fronts will fit as well, HD uses 41mm forks too.
Mine came off an '02 Night Train and I had them powder coated black.

gat803, I really like the black housings like yours. My original plan was to get black ones and drill holes in the fender just behind the chrome strut frame and mount them. But once I had them in my hand I didn't really want to scuff them up and paint them.

yea, sometimes I think my choice of front bumper was a bit over the top, but my approach angle in the front is sooo much better now. No more crunching plastic. Good to see a fellow 'yota fan on the board.
