seriously? I have to remove the swing arm or engine itself to access this part?
I have screwed around with it for the best part of an hour and the shape seems to not make it want to come out either direction am I just being a dumbass and missing some magic "twist" to get it out or do I really have to give up half my damn weekend to get to this just .... stupendously designed... item that's currently broken so I can replace it ? any input from a been there done that perspective would be awesome ! |

of course - neither manual even mentions the part apart from a casual reference to keep the coolant level up let alone a removal procedure
I had another good look at it today and yup it sure looks like the swing arm has to come off ... damn it needs a special tool to get the locknut out too ... |
