Default Lower handlebar

I have a 12 shadow phantom and want to lower my handle bars. Yes yes it does not help with comfort or might hit the tank when I turn..but it looks so cool. Any help is appreciated.
I looked at risers and mounts but as I am new to biker scene, I am not sure which one works.

Did you use existing clamps or get new on?

If you stick with a drag bar style, you shouldn't have any clearance issues. It may only hit if you try bars that are swayed back, beachcomber style.

I think my original post was no clear..I like the existing bars but I want them lowered. The clamps that hold the bars are close to 5" I think and am looking to lower them by cutting/ buying new clamps with 1 or 2".

You can use Harley risers if you also get the adapter bolts, or drill out your riser bushings. There are hundreds to choose from in all heights.

You won't be able to go too much lower with the stock handlebars, maybe a couple of inches before you would hit the tank. Are the handlebars and risers one piece or are the bars clamped to the risers. If there are welded you will have to buy bars and risers.

Jeez, just looked at the bike again (Bought it a week ago) and looks like they are welded ! I need to chop them off or buy new handle bars..It sucks cos I just put on the Kuryakyn ISO Grips on OEM bar and now I might have to throw them away !!!

No I used stock risers for a wile but just did 2" Harley risers and drilled he bushings out. With a "drag bar" u can't go that low though, the bar will hit the tank for sure! Your bar/stem should be 1 piece style right? If so, yes you will have to buy risers and a bar
