Ok I wanted to get some opinions on which grips to get for my 86 700, do I get 7/8 or 1" since I've read that it's both, it has the stock bars so i'm assuming there 7/8. I would like to get something nice maybe something with a cool endcap.

One is 7/8th the other is 1" because it has the throttle under it..every bike shop has a choice, you just tell them what bike it is for and they look it up for you, then you choose the ones you like the look of best..
you probably already know this but you must fit them using grip glue or you will go to pull the bike uprite from the stand and end up with a grip in your hand while your pride and joy crashes to the ground. John.
