Default For those of you with new progressive's

Have you noticed more vibration and you can feel the road more?

I love how the bike feels more firm now with the upgrade and the 10w fork oil, but am disappointed in the vibrations/ride I get. I guess it could be the new metz's too...

I can get used to it though...

Everything you have done contributes to more felt vibrations.

Metzelers are a stiffer tire. If you're running them close to the Metz recommended, higher air pressure, that as well, is going to transmit more felt vibes.
Same thing with the higher spring rate Progressives and thicker oil. Stiffer suspension transmits more road irregularities to the bars and seat.

It might be possible to mitigate some of this discomfort by experimenting with different grips/handle bar end weights, and gel or other seat inserts. Perhaps padded gloves....but it is a natural effect of stiff suspenders.

I do think I feel the road more after the new tires and Progressives, but I haven't noticed any extra vibes. I am running a different tire than you (Exedra Max). Are you sure the new tires are balanced? I used Dyna Beads to balance mine.

Yeah, they were balanced at the shop where I got them mounted.

I'll have to see what they set the air pressure at... I never actually checked...

Let's say one wanted to go the other way: Less stiff, more comfortable ride. What direction would one go with springs, tires, oil, etc?
