Default Stuck on Riser install...*pic*

So I'm installing some 1 1/2 L.A. Chopper risers and they look good everything was going fine but now I need to tighten the bolts and my allen wrench is too long. What the heck am I supposed to do? I can only tighten from the bottom cuz the top has a "smooth top" feature.....do they make shorter ones? Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm on the final step but can't figure it out...here's a pic so you see what I'm talking about:

Get an allen bit, and use a wrench to tighten it. Or cut down your current tool.

How would an allen bit help though?

Or cut it how? Take a hacksaw to it? lol

Remove the risers from the triple tree. Mount the risers on the bars THEN mount the risers back on the triple tree.
Does that make sense?

At any auto part store you can find an allen bit to fit in confines spaces and they also had a small ratchet model too!

If thats the position you want them, mark it with a marker or pencil and then do what Jimnfor said. Or cut the allen key down to the right size.

Cut it with a hack saw, a Sawzall, a cutoff wheel, or a die grinder. All of these option are easier if you have access to a bench vice.
You can even grind it down on a grinding wheel. Just be aware if you put it on a grinder it will get too hot to touch in real short order.

I would recommend cutting an allen wrench down. It is nice to have it if you ever want/need to adjust them later. That way you dont have to remove them from the bike everytime you want/need to adjust them....just speaking from experience....
