Default Whine. Is it clutch, tranny, or shaft?

On a 2012 phantom, there is a decent whine at higher RPMs.
It is easily heard anywhere from 1st to 3rd gear, but in the 4th the wind noise muffles it.

When I pull the clutch in, the whine disappears completely.

Probably tranny, and probably nothing you can do about it. Straight cut gears make noise, and most scooter transmissions have straight cut gears. Sometimes a different brand or weight of oil will mask a whine to some degree....

Ok. I'll keep an eye on it. Doesn't sound out of the ordinary, it's just *there*.

probably pretty normal, sound will quickly go away if you get the old lady her own bike or just drop her off somewhere.

Hahaha, thanks Twister, never thought of that!
How do you make a snowblower out of a dishwasher?

Took my snowblower from Scottsbluff to Omaha with me, when I moved to Phoenix I used the snowblower to rearrange gravel in the yard and to make neighbors ask "what the hell is that thing"
