Default 1985 700c Tachometer

Hi all.

Were sould i look for a aftermarket tach and temp gauge for my 1985 700 C.. not that many on ebay and darn expensive.. looking for a better solution please help me out

The thing is there was no tach on the bike when i got it... someone had cut the wires and yanked it off So any more info would be great

OK because it's very common for the tach on these to short out.

Stock tach is not very accurate, at least at lower rpms, on those years either...

I put a "good", portable tach on my bike while making adjustments recently and found when my stock tach says 1000 rpms... it's actually pulling more like 1250... surprisingly, though... at higher rpms... 3000+, it was reasonably accurate.

Keep looking on eBay and check the parts/salvage places online (like MotoLane)... one will turn up and be "affordable", but rest-assured... having one is not critical to operating the bike, so you can continue to drive it just fine without one.
