Temp Gauge Light out

Hey All,
I have a 1985 VT1100 and it has the temp & fuel gauge sitting in the top of the fuel tank. I notice this morning that the temp gauge light is out. Is the light in the gauge replaceable??? or do I need to replace the gauge itself???

Did you overheat the engine or short out the temp sensor? If not, how do you know it is out? Pretty sure they don't come on with the ignition like in a cage for a bulb check. I could be wrong since it is an older bike but I've never seen the light on my 08 Spirit. Hopefully someone with more experience will jump in here.

This is a gauge and not just a warning light. I have a gas and temp gauge and there are lights in them. The lights are replaceable and I have ordered a couple bulbs, they cost $1.29 a bulb.
