Ok well I have had the bike maybe a month and a half and I was removing the stock air intake to replace it with something a little sleeker and I removed some evap hoses and the canister and while I was back there I decided to do a little wire tucking and so ziptied some wires up out of the way then put the bike back together. The first couple times trying to start it would backfire but start and idle as long as I didn't touch the throttle so I put all the evap system back on and started it again this time it would let me rev it but was obviously only running on one cylinder which was the rear. So I started to trouble shoot and before long I had no spark. So I completely removed the wiring harness and went through the whole harness and every plug on it. I also to the module apart to check for anything burnt in there well after reinstalling the wiring harness and cdi I tryed it again and now it is intermittent it will try to fire almost every time I hit the start button only one single fire though also I had one plug out and was testing for spark and one out of many times cranking it over I had a good consistent spark but haven't seen one sense. Sorry for the horrible punctuation. Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks Travis |

Go get a manual or download one from the stickies. Also get a VOM Meter, and test the electrical and ignition systems. Considering your "work" the electrical issues could be almost anything. I would start at the battery first then the spark plugs, just follow the wires from there. After you get the Ignition and electrical system working you can start on the Air/Fuel issues. Can't even start on the carbs issues toi you have good SPARK. You'll need a manual for that also. Take your time, go one system, 1 step at a time. Weak battery alone can cause most of your issues as could a dirty switch or connector. Intake mod can be contributing to not starting, but NOT the No Spark issue.
