need clarification on use of homamade manometer

ok, this clunker of a shadow i bought is giving me multiple issues. The main being the carbs. The last owner played mechanic and he wasnt really good at it. Im not much better, but i semi know my shadows. But carb work i usually passed on to others. So that said, i dont know my carbs for squat. Ive seen the pics posted here for my tubes and the threaded inserts. But where on the carb do you screw them into? Is that where the choke goes in now? Or what. ive looked at every diagram and pis on here and all pics are too dark or from a distance. Where do they go into? Where do i need to put a restrictor at? and since all of the screws have been played with, what all do i need to adjust at this point? Thanks?

this post is really confusing. first off, what is the year and model of you bike. and what's the bike doing thats not right.

Are you asking where to hook up the sync tool? On the intak manifolds there is a screw right before the head for that purpose. You may have to remove the cooling fins to get to it. See this pic courtesy of forum member kcr:
