look in the oilology sticky. Use either what the manual recommends or whatever your heart desires so long as it is NOT energy conserving oil.
The Fan Favourite here is Shell Rotella. I am currently using Honda GN-4

Check with MOM!!!
I use Castrol GTX 10W-40 as MOM suggests 10W-40 for my climate and riding conditions... MOM has all the answers, "D"
