Default Well, I Hit Reserve Today and...

...made it to the gas station. This is the first time I've hit reserve on the ACE and it seems to have created a problem. My rear cylinder is now not hitting until the revs get on up there. I made it home okay but had real issues getting up the hill to the garage. The rear cylinder is flooding out now, like the float is stuck open. While idling , I felt the exhaust. The front Cyl is warm coming out and the rear is cold. Dead give-away!! I have pulled one of the rear plugs and it is soaking wet with fuel.

My question is...IS there a way to fix this without pulling the carbs? (I hate doing that. It's time consuming, messy, blah, blah)

Has any one ever tried draining the carb bowl, then putting a shot of compressed air back through the drain tube to jostle loose the float?

if there's something in there you should pull the carbs. If it breaks loose and lodges in a jet you'll have other problems.

I haven't tried that method. I personally would still pull the carbs, but before doing so, I would make sure that I don't have a problem with spark.

I would try changing the plugs first. Possible you picked up some water from the bottom of the tank and it damaged the back plug. I think you have an inline filter so not really likely you got dirt into the carb. I have often heard you should switch to reserve from time to time even if not needed to suck up water in little bites that the motor can handle.
