Well i got the carbs all cleaned out, the slow jets or lower jets were dirty as hell. Had to use a trick or two to get it started but when i did, it stayed running this time. Just idled way too high. Ran it around the neighborhood and surrounding ares just to flush it a little and let it run awhile. And guess what? It dies right in the middle of the road. Was able to coast it over, But for whatever reason, the battery is not charging. "new Battery btw" And i basically had to jumo it to get it home. Now when running, its fast as hell. for a 99 1100 ace its surprised me how well it ran. But what else should i be looking to test on this bike now?

Regulator/Rectifier, Stator. Do you have a multimeter? That would really help in diagnosing why the bike lost power.

Is there Gas in the bowls? Did you Charge the battery? Pulse generator is the trigger for the ignition, Rectifier is what converts the AC power from the stator to DC power to run the bike and Maintain charge on the battery. The "Charging" system is not even design to charge a battery. Yes if the bike looses its electrical supple it will stop running. Take Air, Fuel and Fire to make the bike go. The fire comes from Electricity.

If you didn't check out your "charging" system, then you missed an important area. Grab a multimeter and run some readings. Let us know what you come up with. As always and above all...ride safe.
