I have a 99 1100 Aero and I'm looking for shock options. I'm a big guy and when I carry a passenger the bike will bottom out on bumps. I don't think I can adjust my shocks and I don't see many aftermarket options. Any ideas?

Shocks are one thing but consider the tires as well. Tires have a maximum load rating and mine is close if not over with my daughter on the back. I have a heavy duty tire on the're now. Exceeding the limit can be hazardous. If you are bottoming the shocks then you are close to the limit.

The Chart doesnt come through very well in translation but you can see the LI (load index) and the corresponding limits. I am over 300 pounds and my bike is over 600 pounds so I need to carry a load index of 78 or higher on my tires to remain safe and under the load limit. In some cases I do exceed the limit and that can cause issues, not the least of which it rapid tire wear.
► Motorcycle Tire Load Index Chart ◄ LI = Load Index. KG = 2.2 lbs. Progresive Suspension is what you want. New shocks out back and set of springs in front, will help lots.
