Default 93 vt1100 wheel change

Not sure if this should go under general or technical, so here goes...

I believe that the 93 VT1100C came from the factory with "mags" front and rear. I am thinking I would like to replace them with spoke wheels.

Can anybody tell me (outside of aesthetics) any pluses or minuses in doing this, and...

What wheels would be a direct interchange???

IDK, but would bet that any single disc 1100 front wheel will fit, probably 750 wheels also. The rear may be an issue do to the drive gear, but IDK.
IDK cause I hate spokes, on my own bikes. They are a PIA to clean and require tubes.

Not sure but I have an VT1100c3. I know I cant use mags on mine because of the size is different. I think you may be able to get away with adding a spacer but not really sure. By the way, you have a beautiful bike!

YES! you can do spokes. I've been looking into spokes myself.

The VT600 front wheel is a direct spoke crossover.
And the VT750 Aero rear wheel will work in the rear.

Both will require tubes though. You must take the brake rotor off of your VT1100 mag and put it onto the VT600 spoke. Other than that, they are a direct fit.
