Well tank is almost done, got the look I was after

I want people to say nice black tank....hang on... is that a flaming skull...yes it is, cool!!!

Hard to get good pics cause of the indoor lighting, gonna look wicked outside. Just have to sand down the decal lines and some dust bunnies then clear again, then polish... But basically this is what the finished product will look like.

Very nice workmanship. What kind of paint did you use on the carburaters? VHT?

I used a self etching primer then Engine enamel which resists gas & oil, plus it's heat resistant.

I take back my earlier statement about the skulls. That looks great. Definitely subtle. Nothing like what I had pictured.

I used a Factory Black 1K Urethane base coat which I had put in spray cans at my local Auto body supply store, the clear is a 2K High Gloss 2 part Urethane in a spray can as well. Yes, this was all done with spray cans

It's not really all that hard, you just have to have patience..

Well it has been forever since an update and I finally got some time to work on the project so I'll bring you up to speed.

Got a bunch of parts in, Blue Collar Fender kit, ScootMods forward controls, HID headlight kit, LED running lights, also not in picture are Black spoke wraps and a stock exhaust off a 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit which I may modify with glass packs:

Got the graphics on my Swing Arm and Fender which I will fog over to match the tank:

Cleared the Frame today and will do the Fender and Swing Arm tomorrow. Next is to install the Spoke Wraps and begin re-assembly!!!
