The kit you have will work fine for a Stock Bike up to modifications including aftermarket exhaust and filter. How much modding to make the $42 pilot worth while, depends on whether or not you need it now and what those mod are to be. What I'm saying is that 1 guy needs that #42 out of the showroom, the next not till he starts doing major mods. The thing about the big pilots is that 90% of the people running them don't NEED them, but it won't hurt anything and they "feel" better about it. So why argue.

But most if not all the carbjetkits.com and factory pro kits come with pilots, even the stage 1, so its entirely prefference.

Ok I understand, I think I will just stick with this stage1 jet kit right now! Its funny every since someone said something about backfiring, I have been noticing backfiring when letting off the throttle! I dont know if i was just not paying that much attention before or its just getting worse! Eitherway I hope this kit fixes this problem. Thanks again for all the info and help

If that doesnt eliminate the poping, then you go up one size on the pilot jets. that will bring the screw back in and eliminate the popping on decel.

Well I got the jet kit in sat and had some serous popping and I backed out mixture screw 1/4 turn and it stopped the popping! Today its about 20`cooler than sat and the dang popping is back! Are these carbs that sensitive to weather change or do I need to go higher on the jets?

You will learn to find that happy medium. Your not gonna eliminate all the popping. If you do you run the risk of going to rich at Zero-part throttle input. As it has also been stated weather/air temp will play a major roll in fueling when tuning the carbs. Once you find that sweet spot leave it.
Just my .02.
