All Honda's use crush gaskets at the exhaust outlet. Everytime you have the exhaust off you should change them. The ones on your bike were there but it's hard to see them when they are crushed but they are there.

Guess next time I have the exhaust off Ill look. I do have a couple of crush rings in my tool box just in case I needed them when I wrapped my exhaust but didnt see anything in the exhaust ports. Maybe your right that they were hard to see.

I didn't change the crush gaskets when I put on my V&H Short shots. Been 4K miles and no issues.

It's better to play it safe and change the gaskets. They only cost $4-5 each. I would bet that it even made mention in the installation instructions to replace them.

Someone asked what V&H short shots looked like; here they are on a Harley.

Also, always use new crush gaskets when you replace your exhaust; just because a few peeps have gotten by without them doesn't mean that it's a smart thing to do.

Ok all thank you all for the help and the tips, pipes and highway bar will be delivered today and crush gaskets and air cleaner cover were ordered today. When everything gets here and installed I will post pics.

No baffles, sound is really great! Very happy with them. It has a deep growl to it that just sounds mean!
