Default Heat Shield recommendation?

I have a stock 83' Shadow that I need a heat shield for on the left side exhaust. I keep burning my leg on the exhaust.

Anyone have a recommendation for a heat shield? I see a bunch to choose from but I'm not sure which would work best.

Why not the original part? There is a heat shield and a plastic protection cover to protect the leg from the heat.
You can see it here:

Not sure, I got the bike from my dad. There's a bracket but no shield attached. So I need to put something there to save my leg

If you're into making things, you might consider making one out of a peice of aluminum about 1/8" thick.
Just a thought...

Unfortunately I'm not handy with making things so I'll have to go a different route.

You can always just wrap the pipes

I have that little waffle iron on my bike. Does nothing to stop the pipe from burning my leg.

I saw some wraps and didn't like the look. Anyone recommended an aftermarket shield?

There's a plastic part that attaches to the "waffle iron", and that is the part that blocks the heat.
I have an old plastic part that I may send to you, if you're interested, as long as you're willing to pay the shipping from Portugal.

You could alway try to wrap it

It wont block the heat but you won't get burned.

So many options...
