I installed a cobra fi2000r tuner and rb exhaust on my '11 phantom awhile back and was messing through some of the settings tonite and i think i found one that the bike really likes performance wise. Now i took some temps with my laser temp probe and i wanted to see if these temps sounded good to you guys. This was after test riding and letting it idle for a min or two. The rad temp was around 185, the head temps were around 200-210, top shorter pipe was 310 and the bottom longer pipe was 290-293. I just wanna make sure she wasnt lean or maybe even to rich. I never messed with the settings before but i figure i would try tonite since i seen reports that some bikes were running to rich. What do you guys think?

What are STOCK temps under same conditions????????????? From these is the top and bottom pepe are the front and rear exhausts, somewhere, the the rear is a hair leaner than the front and the head and rad tems sound normalish. The fact that the front is running richer than the rear does not mean either cyclinder is running lean or rich. In fact it is normal for the rear of a motor to be a little leaner or hotter than the front.

not sure what they were stock wise, but im pretty sure the stock exhaust ran hotter than what the new pipes are now, cause i dont feel as much heat as i did with the stockers. what i could possibly do is set the tuner to stock configuration which would be 0-0-0 and see what the temps run Last edited by Scrat's_Phantom; 11-07-2012 at 04:44 PM. |

the final setting i found to be the best was 2-4-0. 2-5-0 felt too rich, and 1-5-0 the bike hated cause there was a slight stutter when i cracked on the throttle. 1-4-0 felt ok but you can feel that there could be more, 2-3-0 was ok aswell but there was a slight pop as soon as i released the throttle then smoothed out the rest of deceleration. I never adjusted the third pot since that was for wide open position or track use.
