So the windshield that came with the back is full of light scratches and swirls. I have tried to polish it out (high speed buffer) with Mequires plastic polish and it did make it a little better. But the scratchs are still there. Have any of you been able to remove the scratchs.
Thanks |

Im not sure about windshields but it probably works the same. At the shop I worked at we would fix headlights by cleaning first (soap and water), then wet sand with an orbital sander using 1000 grit, 2000 grit and then finally 3000 grit, then finish of by buffing with compound and a buffer. I also new a guy who would clear coat them after that but I cannot confirm the results of doing that.

depending on what type of shield you have the easiest might be a trip to Lowes for a sheet of lexan.

Well just got home from work and decided to try to buff it out with regular automotive buffing compounds and am very happy with the results so this weekend i will try to wetsand a bottom corner to see if it is any better. Otherwise it will be the 3 stage buff.
Thanks for the advise |
