Default Squeky Front Brake 1986 vt700c

Just acquired a 1986 vt700c that's been sitting for a few years. With a little TLC I was able to get the bike up and running again. However, I'm having an issue with the front brake. Whenever I roll the bike in neutral a squel comes from the front brake.

Then on a ride the other day, at a stop sign, the front brake locked up on me for a few minutes. The front tire wouldn't budge an inch. After waiting a couple minutes, I depressed the brake lever repeatedly and was able to free it up and ride home. As soon as I got home I took a look at the brake and pads, everything seems okay, so I bled the brakes, ran more than enough clean fluid through the system, hoping that might fix the issue. Well the brake lever feels more like a brake lever now, but I still have that squel. Almost like the squel you get when the pads on the car are in need of replacing. Any suggestions?

How does the rotor look? Is the surface even and is the thickness to match on the specs on the side of the rotor?

Also it could be those little brake pistons in your caliper getting stuck.

Are pads new or old ones. Old one might be contaminated, new ones just might need a few mikes to wear in. Just to verify, the forks are NOT leaking on the brakes and the caliper is also NOT leaking, and the axel is not spitting oil/grease???? Correct.

I would remove the caliper from the disk then strip the caliper then pump the lever to eject the pistons, you may have to hold one back so that the pistons eject at the same time, then open the nipple and empty the fluid, clean all the corrosion from the pistons and guides and make sure they slide smoothly, check the brake pads and if worn replace them, also make sure that they are not too shiny, if there is enough meat on them you can roughen them, then refit them and bleed with fresh fluid.
