Im in the process of bobbing my 85 vt500c, and part of this process is to upgrade my wire harness to a more modern one. i completely stripped the bike of the entire wire harness and was going to start from scratch, but with work and everything i really dont have any free time to work on the bike myself. i was in the market for a mechanic to do the wiring for me but being new to this scene i dont really know what a fair price would be or exactly how long it would take to do what i want done to it. Im going for a bare look, and trying to keep the wiring to bare essentials only. im only going to be running a single brake light, headlight, small led turn signals for front and rear, starter button and of course the regulator/rectifier. would this job be really complex since everything else is pretty much cut out? and to any mechanics reading this any help is greatly appreciated i just dont want my eyes to get poked out but also want the job done correctly.

You're lucky in that you live in an area with a fair population. With a specific and detailed job like you're describing, you're better off getting quotes for the BEST price.
A FAIR price would require a large number of similar jobs to compare it to, and I don't think you'll find that. |

Didn't really think about it that way thanks for insight. But is this sort of job difficult to accomplish? I'm just trying to get educated before I go mechanic hunting I don't want to wind up paying for 15 hours of labor for a job that would only take 8 because as it is all the major Honda dealers won't touch a bike over 10 years old so that leaves the other smaller shops I just want to be sure I'm not getting ripped off
