That is EXACTLY how it is supposed to work.

You've got a 3.7 gallon gas tank. 0.9 gallons are "in reserve". Run the bike through about 2.8 gallons with the petcock set to "ON" and the bike will stumble. Don't get the petcock flipped to reserve quickly enough and the bike will stall. Ride to the gas station and you will put in about 2.8 gallons.

Why are you only getting 2.7 gallons in? If you're gonna sweat a tenth of a gallon then you'll have to seriously consider the fuel tank punch mod. If you're concerned about only getting about 37 MPG then there are a lot of things to do.

Thank you for that reality check. The issue came from me being a noob and thinking I had 3.7 before I hit reserve. I was concerned that I was only getting 25 MPG or so. I re read the manual and your post and turns out I am like a new dad, worried for nothing! Seriously, thank you. That sound is me pulling my head out of my ass!
