i have a 2001 vt1100 shadow it had been sitting in storage for a few days i went to start it and heard aloud POP noise from the engine it started up but its got a really rough idle and a whistle sound coming from the upper part of the engine what would do that?

Vacuum hose or air intake leak?

Rubber carb boot popped off. Could either be the boot coming from the airbox or one of the boots going from carb to engine. Vacuum hose wouldn't make a popping sound if it came loose.
