I always thought that the carb vents needed to be at atmospheric pressure without being increased by air velocity.
The difference in pressure between two sides is what causes the vacuum effect. Higher pressure on one side creates more vacuum on the other, a plus for better performance. That's why the older muscle cars used air scoops at the base of the windshield, because there is a high pressure environment there. That's how I learned it anyway.

The front tire only has roughly 4000 miles on it. Got it in the spring. Unless your referring to the rim I should be ok.

No, that's not what I meant.

What you will probably find is that the mushy front suspension that Honda built in goes well with the stock front tire. Take the mush out of the suspension and the pairing is not quite the same -- and MUCH more disconcerting on gravel, steel-grate bridges and grooved pavement. My guess is that you will notice and not like it. Especially if the front tire is a Dunlop D404.

Iv'e got new Metzler 880's on the front and rear. I'm still not getting what you are referring to that would be of real concern, Dunlop 404 tires? Tire size. What do you feel is needing upgrading?
