I re-did the crush gaskets on my 06 Spirit. Once again, the manual made everything easy as paint by number. It should stop the light popping on deceleration.

I got mine for $10 from the honda shop. The mid-pipe mounts were confusing on what to unscrew, until I laid down and saw the the two nuts hanging down below the whole erector set. Those are the two that let you take them off as an assembly. When you put them back on, line up the pipe heads 1st, and then set the mid pipe brackets on.
The pipe assembly seamed to be about 35-40 lbs (didn't actually weigh them). I had a few natural logs under them in case my hand slipped and they fell. (Yes I was in the driveway because I don't have a garage.) Whole process took me a couple of hours, because I was in no hurry, and also watching over about 5 grade school children at the time. |

Yes....don't tighten up the head bolts until you have all the mount bots started. I did this and then couldn't get the mount bolts to line up. How did you get the old crush gaskets out? I couldn't get mine so I finally just left them and stacked the new ones. No leaks so I guess it worked out.

I had to pry them out with a pick set, used as wedges. And good point about the nut order. Always start all the bolts an nuts before tightening any one of them down.
