Default VT600 Randomly Starter Switch

My 2002 VLX has a random starting problem. Turn it on and occaisionally, won't turn over. Fumble around with the key, kickstand, and starter switch and it will eventually turn over and start. Anyone else have a problem like this?

The handlebar kill switches are notorious for causing problems. Try taking it apart and cleaning first. If your bike has a kickstand safety switch that would be the next place I would look.

I had the same problem with my starter button. It's common for some Honda motorcycles.

The starter button is definitely a weak spot. I finally got tired of it and wired a back up button to the solenoid. Drilled a hole in the top of my side battery case and put in a rubber covered button from autozone. No problems any more.
