Alright guys not sure what's up with her (the ace) lately. The other day I noticed a tiny puddle on the garage floor. It was dripping from the corned of the radiator cover while on the side stand. Then today I needed to be somewhere and my truck wouldn't start so I decided I'd just take the bike. I go to the garage this time there is no little puddle the ground is dry. So I crank her up and just as a quick feel good precaution I top off the overflow with coolant. I left her idling while I went and put on boots and jacket etc (about 15 mins later) I come out to find a puddle under the bike however this time it's not dripping from the left (sidestand side) its dripping from a tiny rubber tube on the right hand side (air filter side) its the little tube that just hangs openly at the bottom of the bike. Any ideas??
Sorry I've been away so long school and holidays have kept me very busy. |

From the top down, remove your plastic neck covers and check starting at your radiator cap for any signs of coolant leakage (residue/water spots) and continue observing all the way down on both sides of the bike. If yes, this could be a bad radiator cap. Check also at the upper radiator hose connection(s), and the hose itself for brittle or mushiness. And check at the thermostat housing cover. On the left side of the bike, check the radiator reserve tank at the cap and see if it was dripping coolant from there. If that's the case, there's either too much coolant in the system, or there may be a blockage somewhere. Also check on the right side of the bike where the siphon tube goes into the tank; see if the clamp is loose or the hose needs replacement. Then, check the lower hose on the bottom left side of the bike where it attaches to the radiator -and- where it attaches to the water pump. See if the clamps need tightening or if the hose is brittle or mushy and replace it. Also check around the water pump for leaks at the gasket and at the drain bolts.

Not to hijack but I have flushed the radiator not following proper procedure and lost a bunch of radiator fluid. After it pukes is it 'air bled' or do I have to start over to get the air out?
