my normal headlight is rectangle. I just bought a round headlight from the 750. This will work I found another thread on a different forum doing this. I don't really like the square look.Along with this round headlight mod. I wanted to add something like this to it also
Driving Passing Turn Signal Spot Light Bar for Honda VT 750 1100 VTX 1300 Shadow | eBay. This would get it a 3 light design which i saw on a 750 also. While I am sure I can get it to fit my main question is. Would there be any backlashes that I don't see right now? maybe electrical load? I think each of those lights are 10w halogen. I would most likely install a nice looking switch with those two so i have the option to turn them on or not. Suggestions? comments?

You could wire the switch to the coil of a 12v relay and the light between the contacts, the battery + and the frame with an in-line fuse.

because as it stands right now I have my standard headlight, turn signals, and heated grips and thats it. The heated grips will come off once its warmer but I am sure those are a draw on power.

adding that much load to the system is asking for charging issues. if you plug into a tender every night you may be ok. the biggest electrical problem with these bikes is lack of charging. you may want to look up the mosfet upgrade and the other charging upgrades on this forum.
